A Christmas Message From Judith
Hello my dear dear friends and global family,
I miss you all and I am so grateful to have this opportunity to speak to you from my heart around the world. We are all so very close as our mutual love of music and meaningful words bind us profoundly.
It’s hard to believe in this tumultuous world of upheaval and unrest that we can all turn within to be at peace for some precious time whenever we have even one moment. We can find solace in that way – and in my own life I draw on a line from one of my songs that I set to music many y
ears ago: “just do your best and leave the rest to Him.” It’s like an affirmation for me.
It’s hard to believe that another year has passed since I was last wishing you all a happy and lovingChristmas.
This year, I am not only sharing a Christmas message, but a bundle of other heartfelt and quite emotional wishes as well.
I am grateful to be able to say that my 60th birthday concert at London’s Royal Festival Hall has been released on DVD and CD, and my long lost 1970 single “Let Me Find Love” and vinyl album ‘Climb Ev’ry Mountain’ finally made it on to CD after 45 years. Thank you all for your patience!
It’s a very exciting chapter in our lives for other reasons too. My dear close friend and gifted author Graham Simpson has published his life’s archival collection in collaboration with the amazingly expert musical genius of author and musician Christopher Patrick, for us all to share. I held this magnificent, insightful coffee table book in my hand for the first time this week and it’s a great honour to feel part of it. It’s called ‘The Seekers – The 50 Year RecordedHistory Of Australia’s First Supergroup.’
And now my life is on the stage for all time since ‘Georgy Girl – The Seekers Musical’ had itsred carpet, world premiere opening night in my hometown Melbourne at Her Majesty’sTheatre. Athol, Keith, Bruce and I share equally in our appreciation for all of your support and for staying so loyal throughout our fifty-year journey together.
And to top it all, I’ve said yes to a solo tour in New Zealand in April/May 2016! Is this really happening?? I’ll never, never know if I never, ever go … so I’ll be taking those first steps on to the stage as a solo artist in Whangarei – travelling to 12 cities – and after three weeks, I’ll be saying goodbye and goodnight to all my fantastic New Zealand fans. I know already some of you are coming all the way to New Zealand from all corners of the globe and I’m so grateful.
Thank you very much to my promoter Layton Lillas, my agent Tony Grace, and my management team and precious friends Graham and his daughter Mahlia Simpson, for their incredible support, inspiration and love, and to all my wonderful friends, supporters and fans – the very young, the young and not so young. Wow!! It is a big adventure for all of us.
With your love and belief, it seems like the carnival is not yet over.
I love you all – thank you for being so beautiful to me. You’re there in my heart, and in every breath, and in every note I sing.
You give me such strength and inspiration to be as strong for you as you all are for me. With the Christmas message all around us, we are ever more mindful that He has the whole world in His hands – and He gives us the strength and endless sustaining love.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year – blessings to you all, wherever you are!
